Cookies

What is a cookie?
We use cookies on this website. A cookie is a simple small file that is sent along with the pages of this website and is stored on your computer's hard drive by your browser. The information it contains can be sent back to our servers during a subsequent visit.

Permanent cookies
Permanent cookies enable us to recognise you when you visit our website again. This makes it possible to specifically tailor the website to your preferences. We can also store this by means of a cookie if you have given your consent for cookies to be placed. This saves you the trouble of re-entering your preferences, which saves you time and improves your user experience on our website. Permanent cookies can be deleted via your browser settings.

Session cookies
Session cookies enable us to see which parts of the website you have viewed during this visit. This enables us to tailor our service as closely as possible to our visitors' browsing behaviour. These cookies are automatically deleted as soon as you close your web browser.

Our own tracking cookies
With your consent, we place a cookie on your device that can be retrieved as soon as you visit a website in our network. This tells us that besides our website, you have also been to the other websites on our network. The profile thus created is not linked to your name, address, email address, etc., but serves only to match advertisements with your profile, so that they are as relevant as possible for you.

Our advertisers' tracking cookies
With your consent, our advertisers place tracking cookies on your device. They use these cookies to keep track of which pages you visit in their network in order to build up a profile of your online browsing behaviour. This profile is built up partly on the basis of comparable information that they receive from your visit to other websites in their network. This profile is not linked to your name, address, email address, etc. as known to us, but serves only to tailor advertisements to your profile so that they are as relevant as possible for you.

Google Analytics
A cookie is placed via our website by the American company Google as part of its "Analytics" service. We use this service to keep track of and receive reports about how visitors use the website. Google may also transfer this information to third parties where required to do so by law, or where such third parties process the information on Google's behalf. We have no influence over this. We allow/do not allow Google to use this Analytics information for other Google services.

The information Google collects is anonymised as much as possible. Your IP address is not given. The information is transferred to and stored by Google on servers in the United States. Google adheres to the Privacy Shield principles and is a member of the Privacy Shield program of the U.S. Department of Commerce. This implies an adequate level of protection for the processing of any personal data.

Facebook and Twitter buttons:
Our website contains buttons for promoting web pages ("likes") or sharing ("tweets") on social networks such as Facebook and Twitter. These buttons work with pieces of code that originate from Facebook or Twitter itself. Cookies are placed by means of this code. We have no influence over this. Please read the privacy statement of Facebook and Twitter (which may be regularly amended) to find out what they do with your personal data that they process via these cookies.

"The information they collect is anonymised as much as possible. The information is transferred to and stored by Twitter, Facebook, Google+ and LinkedIn on servers in the United States. LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook and Google+ agree to adhere to the Privacy Shield principles and are affiliated to the Privacy Shield program of the U.S. Department of Commerce.
