Meet the new OG Hero Pippa van Iersel
Pippa is from Schellinkhout, where she had a view of the surf spot from her bedroom window. Her father could often be found here kiting. He has over 22 years of kite experience and Pippa was eager to learn this as well. Yet it was her older sister's turn to learn to kitesurf first and Pippa had to watch from the sidelines for a while. When Pippa was 13, it was finally her turn. Fearless and uninhibited, she got on the board and was immediately thrilled. Eventually Pippa developed into a serious player within the kit world.
Pippa really loves water and likes to be around it all day. Life on a houseboat is therefore ideal for her. She also finds it a very nice way of life: minimalistic, little water wastage and there are solar panels on the roof to generate electricity. No day is the same, sometimes something doesn't work quite right which increases the ability to solve situations and you can always think of something creative. This keeps her on her toes and creative. Pippa loves the boat life.

OG makes sure that I get one step closer to my sports goal and not only dream about beautiful projects but can carry them out. At the same time, I am learning a lot to have a healthy future, I look forward to delving into this even more, inspiring as many people as possible and together ensuring a healthy environment.

Two times Dutch champion, three times World Freestyle kiteboarding bronze and gold at the Big Air World tour.
Pre-competition habit
A good breakfast is essential according to Pippa. Then she starts visualizing her tricks and warming up for the competition. After the warm-up, she visualizes her tricks one last time and starts to sail in order to go for the win!
Dream
Pippa dreams of becoming world champion. On the way there, she wants to enjoy herself, be healthy and make videos to inspire as many people as possible and share her life with them.
Hobbies
Making music. Pippa plays various instruments such as the accordion, saxophone and piano. She also enjoys making videos for her YouTube channel, among others, and she practices a wide range of outdoor sports such as climbing, cycling, swimming, mountain biking, snowboarding, skateboarding, and so on. A real adventurer! She also likes to present, think of YouTube series.
