Heerenveen, September 1st- OG Clean Fuels continues to expand its European network with the acquisition of 11 (Bio-)CNG fueling stations in Italy from Italian operator X3. This marks an important milestone in the company’s European growth strategy and strengthens its position as a leading multi-fuel provider for clean road transport.

Following last year’s expansion into France through the acquisition of Proviridis, OG Clean Fuels continues to accelerate its European growth. With this latest expansion, the company now operates around 400 locations across the Netherlands, Germany, Sweden, France and Italy. In Italy, the network expands from 4 to 15 stations, strengthening the company’s market position and supporting its ambition to reach approximately €150 million in revenue by 2026.

"This acquisition strengthens our European network and significantly expands our impact in Italy, an important market in connecting key transport corridors. It marks another step towards building a European infrastructure that makes clean transport accessible everywhere,” says Marcel Borger, CEO of OG Clean Fuels.

The newly acquired stations are primarily located in Northern Italy, including La Spezia, Amoretti, Carpiano, Rodengo, Vicenza, Lazzago, Fiorenzuola, Avigliana, Massa, Gallarate and Bastia Umbra. Their strategic positioning along key transport routes supports cross-border logistics and enables seamless travel from Northern Italy to France, Germany and beyond.

The network serves a broad customer base, including logistics companies, bus operators and public services, with several locations already used by heavy-duty transport. The stations currently offer CNG and will be further developed in line with OG Clean Fuels’ strategy. Following the acquisition, OG Clean Fuels will progressively upgrade the stations to offer 100% Bio-CNG, supporting the transition to cleaner transport.

Customers can also use the OG Clean Fuels fuel card across the expanded OG network, providing seamless access to stations in Italy, France and beyond ensuring a consistent and efficient experience for international fleet operators.

This expansion marks a clear step in OG Clean Fuels’ ambition to become a leading player in the market—just as it already is in the Netherlands and Germany. With further expansion planned, the company continues to strengthen its network across the region.

The acquisition also contributes directly to the company’s long-term ambition of reaching 700 locations across seven European countries by 2030. Italy plays a key role in connecting European transport flows, with integration taking place in phases, including branding, digital services and customer propositions.
